Dropper the Anise into a cup, add salt, and pour the water over it. Mix. Gargle 3 times for 30 seconds each time. Do this 3 times a day. This will clean the throat of impurities, and the Anise will soothe any irritation.
Daily hot baths cleanse your body of toxins, and speed healing. Dropper 3 drops each of Eucalyptus and Rosemary into a full tub. Relax and inhale the curative vapours. Envision yourself whole and healthy. This salt scrub will help open the pores, speeding detoxification and leaves you with a tingly clean feeling:
1 cup sea salt
7 drops Peppermint
7 drops Orange
7 drops Lemon
7 drops Grapefruit
3 drops Rosemary
3 drops Juniper
Mix in a cup or small container. Place a little on a sponge, washcloth, loofah or brush, and rub in circular motions all over the body. Use in the bath or the shower. The Peppermint and Juniper heal you from negative thoughts, while the citrus and Rosemary oils calm mental fatigue, heal anxiety, insomnia, and sluggishness, and induce euphoria! After your bath, rub your chest and upper back with the de-congestant oil described above.
Finally, try this stimulating, cleansing spritz! (Purchase spritzer bottles at body shops, or use a plant mister.)
1 cup Aloe Vera Water or spring or distilled water
7 drops Peppermint
5 drops Lavender
5 drops Rosemary
5 drops Lemon
2-3 drops Eucalyptus
Dropper the Essential oils into the spritzer and blend. Pour the water in over the blend and shake. Aloe Vera water will keep your face moisturized. This blend is stimulating, anti-bacterial and anti-infectious, effectively cleansing the air around you. You can use the spritz as often as you like.
You can supplement these treatments with Zinc and Echinacea lozenges for your throat, a fruit and vegetable diet for a few days, and tons of Peppermint tea and fresh water. Place an orange-colored candle in a fireproof jar and keep it lit for the duration of your illness. Z. Budapest tells us in her book The Goddess in the Bedroom that orange is the color of health and vitality. If you have a fever, use a light blue candle to cool and heal. Good luck, and get well soon!
